The Interview Room Finally, at 8pm, I permitted myself to crawl into bed and allowed my eyes to close. They shot open again four hours later at midnight and eight hours of restless, obsessive worry and life-reevaluation began. Eventually I got up and went down to the hotel buffet for a breakfast of green tea, lychees, and miso soup. The empty interview suite sits waiting next door to my room. Three days of interviews are about to begin, with lots of photo sessions, so it is time to try to wake myself up with a cold shower, put on an outfit, and prepare myself mentally for the sound of my own voice having opinions. back |
