Like one of your previous correspondents, I too don't quite know where to put this post.
It's been a few weeks now since I was taken by your film. I was feeling rather shaken when I stepped into the video store, and YES jumped out at me... and well, how could I not respond with a title like that. It's funny, it wasn't until I located your site that I remembered who you were from your other work..... I just finished watching (especially watching the extra footage of how you and the actors dealt with the preparation and shooting of the car-park scene) and knew that I had to know more about who this most inspiring creator was.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being in this crazy-terrifying-painfully-beautiful world and making films like this one.
I loved the way the poetry of the language snuck up on me... To live in this vaguely super-real world and then to be hit straight in the heart with that scene.... yes, yes, this is what you are saying... this is what you've gently moved me towards, as if I've been rolled down a silk corridor, fed on figs, so that I am fully open and unguarded when you hit me with your message.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. You have inspired me greatly, which is exactly what I need as I put down the torch on my own most recently finished three-year project and prepare to set out into the abyss on the next.
I know this is a long-shot, but if you are ever looking for a choreographer, it would be thrilling to be in on your process.
