Where is YES?
After watching the trailer I couldn't find any of the members of YES. No Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, or Chris Wakeman! Could this be a movie titled YES without any YES members? The answer, though unbelieveably so, appears to be YES (unfortunately).

No YES
the answer to your question seems to be, yes, there are no members of Yes in YES. I hope this does not make it a no for you. Yes?

Boston/Cambridge?
Sally, what a beautiful movie you seem to have made. I just came across some clips on ifilm.com and cannot wait to see this film! Will it be coming to the Boston area soon?

Yes In Sydney
*Yes* has just shown at Sydney Film Festival - lots of discussion, lots of enthusiasm. Everyone wanting to know when it will be released in order to see it again. Sally, every film gets better & better & this one is wonderful! Your best yet! A message of such embrace of life & hope, so necessary, so perfect. We used to demand the impossible - and then we got practical. But this film again demands the impossible, dreaming of its real possibilities, which is to say also, of the possibility of a future.
I couldn't remember what the Aunt's name is - is it Molly?
Yes, I say, yes! ...
Warmest wishes

MOLLY
Thank you, Helen.
Yes, let's be realistic and demand the impossible.
The aunt is never named, in common with He and She.
But the ghost of Molly Bloom is hovering over them all, with her unsurpassable monologue at the end of Ulysses. James Joyce gave us all the language of longing, and in his daring with form reminds us to leap also. Did you know he loved to tap-dance ?
I would love to be a fly on the wall in Sydney, to eavesdrop on your discussions following YES (for at least one of my intentions was to open out a space for conversation) but at least we can all talk to each other within this frame.
Greetings and warm wishes to you, and blessings for your adventures in fiction and fact.

Just saw the film in Cambridge.
Sally, I’ve just seen YES in Cambridge. It was all it was promoted to be and much more. What a beautifully shot film. The music added such depth and feeling. I thought that perhaps the music in the dancing scene in Lebanon was Israeli? Clever if so. I wasn’t sure how verse would work, but it carried me through on waves of sadness, beauty, and most importantly - hope, like the poetry of Gibran.

The acting was perfect. With Joan Allen and Sam Neill how could one expect anything less? Simon Abkarian I’ve not heard of before, but was moved by him. I’ve visited Lebanon many times and have very close friends from that beautiful country. As much as a non-lubnanee-ye can understand, I understand their pain as well as their joy for life and Simon portrayed it precisely and clearly. The parking garage scene broke my heart. Simon, I wish that everyone could hear and feel the words and wisdom you spoke in that scene. Very powerful. What can I say? Rouhak Heloui.

Bravo to all!

god the wait...
I'm about ready to cry in Nashville. I've been waiting for this movie to come out for so long. I don't get Sony not capitalizing on Joan Allen (coming off of "Upside..." this year) and promoting this thing, as a different experience if it is...

No guts, and no clever promotion...I suppose. I can't imagine with the low competition in adult movies, that they would've had trouble getting an audience to come see Joan. (I thank her for bringing your work to my attention).

Best of luck with the DVD...if it ever makes it to earth.
