You amazed me...
Dear Sally,
i can't find the words to express my feeling about how your creation influenced my life.i saw the tango lesson in almost second year of my undiagnozed disease and you bring me the new strenght that i was waiting for so desperately in my suffering.you bewitched me the way you were dancing, you bewiched me trought the music, your voice, your unseizable and expressive the same time, incredible existence, and you tear...and i feel that lessons so deeply, each day of my life is full of struggling with physical pain, desires, passion that so hard to give yourself because of the pain.i always love dancing and suddenly i had to stop and then you show me the tango...for all my life i was looking for the proper way of expression trought my body, and i find it in tango argentino then i started to dance, and that i love so much!Sally, i would love to tell you so many things, but no one word can give the truth, because your artism has no term.therefore, the only thing i can do to express how am i grateful for your existance, for your creation is to ask you to give me your hand and then to touch the trembling of my soul...Sally, if you come to poland with expecting yes i will bringing you poetry and giving you my trembling...i'm waiting to shake hand with incredible, great woman!from the bottom of my heart-
thank you Sally

ANGEL
hello, lovely dancer.
I am so sorry you have suffering with pain and illness. I am glad that The Tango lesson was able to help a little.
I discovered Jacob and the Angel late in the process of developing the film and it proved to be a key to understanding some of the power of the tango; the image (and myth) of a human being wrestling through a long night with a being who turned out to be divine...or perhaps is the inner fight with one's own demons , who turn out to be angels.
The psychic space that this story occupies is therefore a primal one, and recognisable to anyone in the solitude of their struggle, whether that is a struggle with pain or with doubt.
The physical space of the painting, which i was led to by a friend in Paris (it is in the church at San Sulpice) resembles the physical space of the tango, to some degree, if you define tango as a fight (which the great Argentinean writer Borges did).
The historical space the story occupies is biblical, and Jewish, though it is generally situated as Christian. The metaphorical space is perhaps its most powerful dimension, and the metaphor it offers is open to many personal interpretations, including an atheist one.

I would like to send you my deepest wishes for your complete recovery from whatever illness you are dealing with, and a release from pain. Perhaps, like Jacob, you will find that the struggle you have been experiencing with your body leads to joy and revelation.

revelation
thank you my dear Sally for answering my question and for every single word that fell in my soul.i'll never forget the night we were thinking of each other for a while, or even longer...

another chapter of my revelation
days, days,oh sweet days
why do you pass so soon
nights, nights, full of passion nights
why do you lie looking at my face
oh, my so adored words
why do you kill my creation being as disfigured as you are
/someone is anxious about his bleeding heart
he's taking a razor and hurting skin - gentle skin of soul/
another chapter of my revelation

prophetic words i wrote some years before all that came exactly on me in the body of disease.thank you for showing me that demons can turn out to be angels.thank you for showing me i'm in jacob position.i've never seen it with such a personification.that's the revelation!funny, i study metaphors, i explorate the senses every single day, that's a part of my work but i've never registered myself in that painting and that changing a lot.
Sally, your being, your work inspirate me, seeing you dancing, interpretating music through your body, writing, hearing you speaking, singing give me incredible power.if you would ever want to make something about desire, passion and the same time disease, pain and unsatisfaction that the ilness brings i'm giving you myself to tell you a lot.i'm giving you myself like you've been giving me yourself through your creation.and i'm dreaming about the one day to see you working, to feel that unusual atmosphere that you bewitching in, to share the same air, to be touched by the thrills of your artistry. and i'm looking forward to see you in poland with so expected yes.
Sally, from my heart warmly thanks and wishes for you, wishes of infinite passion...
