From Argentina with love
Dear Sally, Thank you for Yes, a beautiful film. A poem for our time. I saw your movie in November and immediately purchased a copy so that I can see it again and again.
I made an earlier post about my upcoming trip to Bs As., and you asked me to "kiss the tangueros for you". Happy to report that they all send you their love.
Dancing at Confiteria Ideal was a dream come true. I spent many hours there, and at many other milongas. It meant a lot to me, as that was my first glimpse of Bs. As., through The Tango Lesson.
Sally, there was another milonga used in that movie. Do you remember where is was?? It was one of the final scenes, when you go alone and dance with Carlos Copello, and Pablo Veron "interrupts" your dance. I thought maybe that would have been Club Espaniol, but now that I have been there...I realized I was never in that room.
Do you still dance? I am longing to return as soon as possible. It was like stepping into a dream.
Will you ever make another movie about tango??
What ever you choose as your next subject, I look forward to seeing it.
Happy New Year.
Sharon
